Wash Your Worries Away
A few days back, Aaliyah appeared preoccupied as we played her favorite board game. Worried, I asked, “Aaliyah, what’s the matter? You’re usually quite competitive during our srabble matches.”
Her voice broke as she confided, “Bob, the project I’ve been working on fell short of funding and they might end it. I could lose my job,” her words tinged with worry.
“Oh, Aaliyah,” I reassured, placing a hand on her shoulder, “It must be tough right now but hey, I know you have given this project your best!”
